Ukraine continues to receive international financial support under the cooperation program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). On March 31, the country's state budget received about $400 million as part of the next tranche.
As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported, these funds were allocated after the successful completion of the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program. Thus, the total amount of financial assistance to Ukraine under this program exceeded $10 billion.
Shmyhal thanked the IMF for its support, emphasizing the importance of cooperation that helps stabilize the Ukrainian economy in wartime. According to him, the funds attracted will contribute to the fulfillment of state financial obligations and support key sectors of the economy.
Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko noted that the total amount of funds received by Ukraine under the EFF program has already exceeded $10.1 billion out of the planned $15.5 billion. He emphasized that in total, during the full-scale war, Ukraine received $12.8 billion from the IMF.
Financial assistance from the Fund is an important element of stabilizing the economic situation, as the funds are directed to financing social payments, supporting critical infrastructure, and implementing structural reforms.
Ukraine continues to fulfill its obligations to the IMF, working on reforms that will promote economic growth and integration into global financial markets. It is expected that cooperation with the Fund will remain an important source of financial support in the coming years.
