The Government of Ukraine has decided to make significant changes to the process of issuing passports for Ukrainian men living outside the country. According to the innovations introduced as part of the pilot project on automatic verification and checking of information about conscripts, military conscripts and reservists, there is now no obligation to personally present a military registration document.
The changes apply to men aged 18 to 60 who live abroad and wish to apply for a passport. According to the updated procedure:
1. It is not necessary to personally present a military registration document.
2. Employees of foreign divisions of the State Enterprise "Dokument" will automatically check the status of military registration in a special register.
3. In the event that data is missing in the specified register, it will be entered automatically.
4. Men will be registered and a military registration document will be formed in electronic form without the mandatory passage of a medical commission.
These changes simplify the process of processing documents for Ukrainian men abroad, reducing administrative barriers and simplifying access to necessary administrative services.
The adopted changes have become an important step towards modernizing administrative procedures aimed at improving the service of Ukrainian citizens abroad and increasing the level of accessibility of passport services.
