Pension Fund Completes Financing of April Payments: How Much Money Did Ukrainians Receive

The Pension Fund of Ukraine officially announced the completion of financing of pensions for April 2025. The total amount of transferred funds amounted to 67.4 billion hryvnias, which corresponds to the level of pension payments for the previous month.

This was stated in a statement by the Pension Fund's press service. As the department noted, despite the difficult economic situation, the state ensures the stability of payments to pensioners, maintaining the volume of funding at the level of March, when 67.4 billion hryvnias were also allocated.

An important stage this year was the indexation of pensions, which took place from March 1 and became the fourth since the start of the full-scale war. Thanks to indexation, more than 10 million Ukrainians received increased pensions, with the average increase being 11.5%. This was an important step towards improving the financial situation of senior citizens.

In addition, since April 1, payments have been automatically transferred to almost 630 thousand working pensioners. The correction of the size of pensions took into account the updated insurance experience, which positively affected the size of their monthly payments. As a result, the average pension in Ukraine is currently 6345 hryvnias.

It is worth noting the increase in the activity of citizens in the issue of voluntary participation in the pension system. In the first quarter of 2025, 2050 agreements on voluntary participation in mandatory state pension insurance were concluded. In total, the Pension Fund received 17.6 million hryvnias in voluntary contributions.

Thus, despite the challenges of war and economic difficulties, the pension system of Ukraine demonstrates stability, and the participation of citizens in its development indicates growing trust in state social protection mechanisms.
