    Summer is a great time to diversify the children's menu with light and tasty dishes. Okroshka, usually associated with salty ingredients, can be prepared in a completely new format - fruit. This soup will not only bring joy to children, but will also be healthy thanks to fresh seasonal fruits.

    To prepare fruit okroshka, you will need several basic ingredients: fruit broth, apple, melon, peaches, cherries, as well as some sorrel and lettuce for piquant greens. In this recipe, we suggest using a combination of sweet fruits to create a fresh and pleasant taste.

    Let's start with preparing the fruit. Peel the melon and apples and cut them into cubes. Fruits such as apples and peaches are ideal for this okroshka, adding juiciness and sweetness. Pre-scald the peaches to easily peel them, and then chop the pulp. Wash the cherries and remove the pits, then add to the fruit.

    To create a fruit decoction, pour boiling water over the cherries and fruit peel. Simmer over low heat for 1.5–2 hours until the decoction soaks up all the flavor of the fruit and becomes rich. This decoction will be the basis for okroshka, giving it lightness and a pleasant sweetness.

    When the decoction is ready, pour it over the prepared fruit. Then add finely chopped sorrel and lettuce for a slight sourness and freshness. This step will not only diversify the taste, but will also make the okroshka healthier thanks to the greens.

    Serve the fruit okroshka with a spoonful of sour cream, which will give the dish a creamy texture and further emphasize the taste of the fruit. This soup is ideal for hot summer days when you want something refreshing and unusual.
