Subsidies for the 2024-2025 heating season: how Ukrainians can find out the new amount of support

At the beginning of the 2024-2025 heating season, the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) conducted an automatic recalculation of housing subsidies for citizens receiving this assistance. This is an annual process, during which the amount of payments increases taking into account additional heating costs. Corresponding changes allow households to better prepare for rising utility costs in the cold season.

According to the PFU, the amount of subsidies for October has already been calculated taking into account the payment for home heating services, which were added to the general list of utility costs from October 16. Payment of these subsidies is scheduled for November, which will allow citizens to receive funds already taking into account the need for heat supply.

For the convenience of Ukrainians, all information about the calculation of subsidies can be viewed in the personal account on the web portal of the PFU electronic services. In the "My Subsidy" section, users can check the amount of the subsidy, its validity period and other details related to the charges. This format is convenient, because it allows you to quickly get information about the subsidy without leaving your home.

Those citizens who have not yet had time to apply for a subsidy have the opportunity to do so in several ways: in person, by visiting the PFU service center, by sending documents by mail, or by using electronic services - the PFU web portal or the "Pension Fund" mobile application. PFU reminds that the subsidy is assigned from the beginning of the heating season, if the application is submitted by November 30, and for applications from December 1 - from the month of submission of documents.

Subsidies are provided for the entire heating period, which lasts from October 1 to April 30, as well as for the non-heating season, from May 1 to September 30. Thanks to this, citizens can count on support throughout the year, but taking into account seasonal utility costs.

This year, the PFU carried out an automatic recalculation of subsidies for most citizens who received payments in the summer period, even if the amount of the subsidy was 0 hryvnias. This greatly simplifies the process of obtaining assistance for households, who can be sure of uninterrupted support during the heating season.
