By 2026, Ukraine plans to fully digitize more than 30 areas of public services, making them available online through the "Diya" platform and other electronic services. The government has approved a corresponding action plan, which should significantly simplify the interaction of citizens with state institutions, reduce bureaucracy and eradicate corruption risks.
According to the Government Portal, 25 state authorities are involved in the digital transformation process, including the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The main goal is to provide citizens with convenient access to the necessary services without the need to visit state institutions, submit paper documents and wait in lines.
The planned digitalization covers a wide range of services, including in the education sector, healthcare, social protection of veterans, military services, construction, customs, etc. Among the key innovations is the ability to register divorces and deaths online. Ukrainians will also be able to take a theoretical exam to obtain a driver's license remotely.
A special emphasis is placed on reforming customs procedures. Automation of customs services will minimize the human factor, reduce bureaucratic burdens, and reduce opportunities for corruption. It is expected that this will contribute to faster and more transparent customs control.
In addition, as part of the digital transformation of business in Ukraine, the "e-Entrepreneur" service has already been implemented, available in the "Diya" application. This service significantly simplifies registration and management of business activities: entrepreneurs can access ten state services by submitting just one application.
The government is convinced that large-scale digitalization will significantly improve the accessibility of state services, save citizens' time, and contribute to more effective governance of the country. The implementation of the planned changes is ongoing, and in the coming years, Ukrainians will be able to appreciate the advantages of modern technologies in interacting with government institutions.
