    Preparing the ingredients
    First of all, prepare all the necessary ingredients. You will need pears (it is better to choose fruits of medium density, so that they do not fall apart during cooking), two types of wine - red and white, honey, brown sugar, lemon, spices (cinnamon, cloves, anise) and starch to thicken the sauce. These ingredients will give the dessert a special depth of flavor and aroma.

    Peeling the pears
    Carefully wash and peel the pears from the skin, leaving the tail - this will give the dish a more aesthetic appearance when serving. Pears should be whole to keep their shape during cooking.

    Preparing wine sauce
    In a deep saucepan mix red and white wine, add honey, brown sugar, juice of half a lemon and selected spices. If you like the flavor of mulled wine, use more cinnamon and cloves. Place the saucepan over medium heat and allow the mixture to boil.

    Boiling the pears
    Put the prepared pears into the saucepan with the wine sauce. Make sure the fruit is completely submerged in the liquid - this way they will soak up the wine evenly and get a rich color. Cook the pears for 20-30 minutes over low heat until they are soft but still hold their shape.

    Thickening the sauce
    Once the pears are done, carefully remove them and set aside. The sauce remaining in the pot needs to be boiled down by about half to make it thicker and richer. If you want to achieve an even thicker consistency, you can add diluted starch to the sauce, turning it into a kind of wine kissel. This option is also perfect for serving.

    Serving the dessert
    Before serving, pour the wine sauce over the pears, garnish with whipped cream and fresh mint leaves. This will add not only freshness to the dessert, but also bright accents of color.
