The list of critical infrastructure facilities will be updated by July 1

By July 1, the updating of the list of critical infrastructure facilities, where electricity will not be cut off, will be completed. This was announced by the head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate, Ruslan Slobodian.

Currently, each region conducts a thorough analysis of electricity supply conditions for hundreds of consumers. "This is quite painstaking work that requires an analysis of the conditions of electricity supply to hundreds of consumers. We expect that this process will be completed by July 1," Slobodian said.

In many regions, dozens, and in some places even more than a hundred consumers who had guaranteed electricity supply have already been excluded from the list. This is done to achieve a balance between protecting critical objects and reducing the load on other consumers.

"The logic of the process is that it is important to find a balance and protect critical infrastructure objects from outages, while not creating an excessive load on others," Slobodian explained.

In addition, it is planned to divide the list of objects into seasons - summer and winter. "Now the list includes, among other things, objects that are extremely important during the heating period, but do not work in the summer. Therefore, it is advisable to exclude them from the list now, and return to it with the onset of cold weather," he added.

This approach is related to the fact that many other consumers are connected to power lines near critical infrastructure facilities. They can be used in blackout schedules if facilities that are important only in winter are excluded from the list for the summer period.
