    Опубликовано: 2024-06-10 09:30:29

The government of Ukraine has approved a new agreement with Hungary, which provides for the opening of new checkpoints and the modernization of existing ones. In particular, it is about the creation of a new checkpoint "Velika Palady - Nadgodosh", which will be designated for passenger transport. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

In addition, according to this agreement, traffic will expand at the Luzhanka - Beregshuran checkpoint. Here, the possibility of transporting not only passengers and cargo, but also empty trucks is provided. This decision is designed to significantly improve logistics connections between the countries.

"All these steps are a necessary part of our integration into the EU, as well as the improvement of logistics," said Denys Shmyhal. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives for strengthening ties with European partners.

In addition to the agreements with Hungary, the government of Ukraine allocated an additional 222 million hryvnias for the development of border infrastructure with Poland. The funds will be directed to the modernization of checkpoints and the purchase of mobile scanners, which will significantly improve the capacity of the borders.

Denys Shmyhal emphasized that the opening of new crossings and updating of the existing infrastructure will simplify the process of crossing the border. It will also facilitate the transport connection between Ukraine and the neighboring countries of the European Union, which is an important step on the way to European integration.

The modernization of the checkpoint on the border with Slovakia "Uzhhorod - Vyshnye Nemetske" was also completed. Thanks to the works carried out, the throughput capacity of this point increased from 630 to 900 cars per day. This will significantly reduce waiting times and increase the efficiency of border crossing.

Thus, Ukraine is actively working on improving border infrastructure, which contributes to strengthening economic ties with neighboring countries and integration into the European Union.
