USAID supports Ukrenergo: Two high-voltage transformers as part of energy security project

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) continues to actively support Ukraine's energy infrastructure by transferring two high-voltage autotransformers to the National Energy Company Ukrenergo, as well as planning to purchase and transfer 16 more units.

This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo on Facebook.

It is important to note that the purchase and delivery of new equipment is funded by the United States government through USAID and is being implemented under the USAID Energy Security Project (ESP).

According to the company, the new equipment is already being successfully used at Ukrenergo's facilities in the regions that were victims of massive missile attacks last winter.

The two transferred autotransformers represent the first stage of the humanitarian project under which USAID plans to purchase and transfer a total of 16 autotransformers to Ukrenergo.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, USAID has already provided Ukrenergo with equipment and personal protective equipment worth approximately $10 million to strengthen the country's energy resilience.
