Ukraine strengthens defense: Electronic Warfare Coalition established within Ramstein

During the meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, together with his colleague, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, announced the launch of a new Electronic Warfare Coalition (EW Coalition), the purpose of which is to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities in confronting Russian aggression.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the EW Coalition is the ninth initiative that emerged within the Ramstein format. It was joined by 11 countries, including Ukraine, which signed a joint Letter of Intent. This is a new step in strengthening international military support for Ukraine, which is important in the context of the ongoing war.

The main areas of work of the EW Coalition will include the purchase of modern equipment, education and training of specialists, as well as the development of policies and doctrines in the field of electronic warfare. Electronic warfare is one of the key elements of modern warfare, since without proper electronic defense, any unit loses its ability to be effectively combat-ready.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine emphasized that the creation of the Electronic Warfare Coalition will allow for the effective combination of efforts of international partners and the appropriate response to the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. This will contribute to strengthening the country's defense capabilities and ensuring a higher level of protection on the battlefield, in particular from Russian missile and drone attacks.

"The Electronic Warfare Coalition is designed not only to meet the current needs of the Ukrainian army in electronic warfare equipment, but also to lay the foundation for the development of these capabilities in the long term," Rustem Umerov noted. This is an important step to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities against the backdrop of increased military actions by Russia.

The creation of such a coalition is important not only for the direct provision of Ukraine with electronic warfare equipment, but also for the development of international cooperation in the field of defense. This initiative also demonstrates how Ukraine is actively attracting international assistance to strengthen its defense capabilities in the fight against the aggressor.
