A tender for 20 interregional passenger routes in Ukraine has been announced

On July 17, the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine will hold the second competition of this year for interregional routes for motor carriers. This event attracts considerable attention, as it concerns the development of infrastructure and the improvement of transport connections between regions.

Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, reported on the ministry's plans for this competition. "We continue to announce a competition for interregional routes. The second competition this year is planned to be held on July 17. It is about 20 public routes," Derkach said.

He also specified that in total the Ministry plans to announce at least 30 additional routes. "These are the routes for which we received requests during the last year. If the community, carrier or local authorities consider it necessary to open new routes, then it is worth contacting the Ministry," explained Derkach.

Carriers can find detailed information about the conditions of the current competition at the relevant link on the official website of the ministry. This will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to familiarize themselves with the requirements and criteria for participation.

The Ministry also plans to discuss with carriers the changes to the tendering procedure. "We aim to make the procedure more efficient, faster and of higher quality. A meeting will be held with carriers in the near future to jointly discuss these changes," Derkach emphasized.

In addition, the Ministry of Infrastructure is actively opening new international bus routes according to the current procedure. Almost 140 new routes have already been opened this year. "At the same time, we are testing the online office for opening international bus routes. We invite carriers to join the testing in order to jointly launch an effective business tool," Derkach added.
