From May 28, the State Agrarian Register (DAR) again begins accepting applications for receiving a budget subsidy per hectare of cultivated agricultural land. This was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

Agricultural producers who work in regions where hostilities have ended or there was a temporary occupation have the right to apply. This applies to certain districts of Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions, according to the established list.

A subsidy of UAH 8,000 per hectare will be provided to producers who own or use agricultural plots of up to 120 hectares. It is important to note that due to the limited budget allocated to the agricultural support program, the period for accepting applications will be limited.

In March, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on expanding the areas of state support for farmers registered in the State Agrarian Register and increasing the amount of payments. In particular, the budget support for farmers who cultivate up to 120 hectares of agricultural land was increased to 4,000 hryvnias per hectare, while it previously amounted to 3,100 hryvnias.

Separate support is provided for farmers from de-occupied territories and territories where hostilities have ended. They will be able to receive a budget subsidy of 8,000 hryvnias per hectare, which is a significant increase compared to other regions.

Farmers who keep cattle will also receive government assistance. A special budget subsidy in the amount of 7,000 hryvnias is provided for each cow, regardless of the direction of productivity. This support is available for farms that keep between 3 and 100 cows.

We will remind that the submission of applications for subsidies for 1 hectare of land for farmers from de-occupied territories and territories where hostilities ended was initially planned from May 1 to June 30. However, already on May 4, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy announced the termination of this process due to the large number of applications received, which already corresponded to the amount of budget payments in the amount of 796 million hryvnias. The department assured that all submitted applications will be processed, and new applications will be opened if additional resources are available.
