Brussels plans to provide military assistance to Ukraine and send military trainers to support the country in its efforts in the war in the East. The proposal to send instructors is being considered with caution and will be implemented "when circumstances allow," similar to the invitation to NATO. This was reported by EL PAÍS, citing an internal document of the European diplomatic service.

The document states that the decisions taken by the G-7 members to provide security guarantees to Ukraine are similar to what is proposed in this document. Thus, non-G-7 countries, such as Spain, have joined the G-7 commitments.

Brussels plans to increase military support for Ukraine, strengthen air defense, and co-finance advanced weapons systems by EU member states, including the supply of missiles and combat aircraft. It is noted that Ukraine needs the EU's long-term support and commitment to ensure its free and democratic European future.

The document also provides for support in the maintenance and repair of provided equipment, demining, and cybersecurity assistance to combat hybrid threats and disinformation.

The European Union also supports Ukraine's accession to the EU and will assist in reforms. The G-7 leaders also promised that Russia's assets would remain blocked until Moscow compensates for the damage done to Ukraine.

Brussels' plans to increase military aid and send military instructors demonstrate the EU's growing support for Ukraine in its military conflict with Russia. These measures are aimed at supporting Ukraine in defending its territorial integrity and ensuring security in Europe.
